Community Policy

Terms & Conditions

Community Mission:
My Reset Lab’s Community (“Community”) exists to foster peer‑powered connection, encouragement, and shared growth among individuals committed to improving their well‑being.

Scope of Activities:

  • Discussion Forums: Topic‑based threads for sharing experiences, asking questions, and offering support.

  • Resource Libraries: Curated articles, videos, and worksheets contributed by My Reset Lab and vetted partners.

  • Member Events: Live Q&As, virtual meet‑ups, and guest‑speaker sessions.

Who This Applies To:
These policies govern all registered Community members—including participants, volunteers, moderators, and guest contributors—across My Reset Lab’s online forums, social media groups, and member portals.

Non‑Therapeutic Nature:
Participation in the Community does not establish any professional or licensed relationship. Content is intended for peer support and educational purposes only.

Section 2 – Membership & Access Rights

2.1 Eligibility & Registration

  • Age Requirement: All Community members must be 18 years or older.

  • Account Creation: To join, individuals must provide a valid email address, choose a unique username, and accept these Community Policies.

  • Verification: We may periodically verify member identities (e.g., via email confirmation) to maintain a safe environment.

2.2 Member Roles & Privileges

  • Standard Member:

    • Can view and post in forums, access resource libraries, and join member events.

  • Verified Contributor:

    • Granted to members who demonstrate expertise and have been vetted by our moderation team; may create new resource entries and lead topic‑based discussions.

    • Appointed by My Reset Lab to enforce policies, manage discussions, and handle reports; has access to additional moderation tools (e.g., content removal, user warnings).

  • Administrator:

    • Staff members responsible for overall Community operations, policy updates, and technical maintenance.

2.3 Account Security & Privacy

  • Unique Credentials:

    • Membernames and passwords must be unique; sharing credentials is prohibited.

    • Members choose what personal details to display (e.g., first name only, pseudonym).

    • Profile pictures should not reveal sensitive personal information.

2.4 Access Levels & Content Visibility

  • Public vs. Private Spaces:

    • Some forums (e.g., general wellness topics) are open to all registered members.

    • Others (e.g., specialty support circles) require facilitator approval or an enrollment key.

  • Resource Libraries:

    • Free-to-access materials are available to all members.

    • Premium resources (e.g., downloadable workbooks) may require course completion or paid membership tiers.

2.5 Membership Termination & Suspension

  • Involuntary Suspension/Removal:

    • My Reset Lab reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates Community Policies (see Section 4) or for inactivity beyond 12 months.

    • Suspended members receive an email outlining the reason and steps to appeal or reinstate their account.

Section 3 – Code of Conduct & Community Standards

3.1 Respectful Communication

  • Be Kind & Courteous: Treat every member with courtesy, empathy, and patience.

  • Use “I” Statements: Frame feedback or disagreement by speaking from your own perspective (e.g., “I feel…” rather than “You always…”).

  • No Interruptions: Allow others to finish before responding in threaded discussions or live chat.

3.2 Prohibited Conduct
Members must not engage in:

  • Harassment & Hate Speech: Any slurs, insults, or demeaning remarks based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other characteristic.

  • Threats or Violence: Any direct or veiled threats, intimidation, or endorsement of harm.

  • Bullying & Stalking: Persistent unwanted contact, monitoring, or malicious targeting of another member.

  • Sexual Harassment: Unwelcome sexual advances, comments, or imagery of a sexual nature.

  • Spam & Self‑Promotion: Unsolicited advertisements, promotional links, or requests for business, donations, or referrals.

3.3 Content Standards

  • Stay On‑Topic: Post in the correct forum or thread and keep comments relevant to the subject.

    • No Misinformation: Do not share medical or legal advice as fact. When in doubt, cite reputable sources or encourage professional consultation.

  • Content Format:

    • Use clear, constructive language.

    • Avoid excessive profanity, all‑caps text, or emojis that disrupt readability.

  • Accessibility: Include alt‑text for images and avoid long unbroken paragraphs to aid screen‑readers.

3.4 Privacy & Confidentiality

  • Member Privacy: Do not share another member’s personal details (real name, location, contact info) without explicit permission.

  • Off‑Platform Sharing: Any quotes or excerpts from discussions must be anonymized and used only with consent.

  • Sensitive Topics: Trigger warnings are encouraged when discussing topics that may be distressing (e.g., trauma, self-harm, grief).

3.5 Intellectual Property Respect

  • Original Work: Only post content you have created or have permission to share.

  • Attribution: When referencing external articles, images, or resources, provide proper credit and links.

  • No Plagiarism: Copying substantial text from others without attribution is prohibited.

  • Fairness & Impartiality: Moderators must apply rules consistently, without favoritism or bias.

  • Privacy Respect: Moderator actions (e.g., warnings, removals) are handled discreetly; specific details are shared only with involved parties and the Community Admin team.

4.5 Transparency & Policy Updates

  • Enforcement Transparency: Quarterly summaries of enforcement actions (anonymized statistics) will be published in the Community Announcements forum.
